TAG News and Events:
1st  Afghan 3 Gun
Multi-National competition
brought to Theater by Tactical Assault Gear

In March 29 of 2008 in Kandahar Air Field, Afghanistan, Tactical Assault Gear (TAG) takes on the responsibility of supporting our efforts to crush terrorism in their own backyard. Capt. Will Eberle, 1-508 PIR 82nd ABN DIV, called on Chris Osman, CEO of TAG, and Juan Bauza, TAG East Coast Operations Manager, for assistance in putting together the first Multi National 3 Gun Competition in Afghanistan. Chris saw the importance of the event not as another shooting event but one in which our soldiers have a chance to challenge themselves and take a break of the stress of being in a combat zone, in some instances for over 15 months (which happened to be the case for the 1-508 soldiers). With this in mind, TAG provided some of the prizes for the award ceremony... but TAG would not be TAG if it did not go one step further... so Chris decided to extend the winner circle and provide take home prizes (TAG logo “T” shirts, and Nalgene bottles) to all the competitors and the staff of the event (fellow soldiers).

We wish to thank LaRue Tactical and Smith & Wesson for collaborating with this event and congratulate all the soldiers who participated in this event, particularly Sgt. Lance Banning and Cpl. Kouyaman, which took first and second place respectively. Special thanks to 4th Brigade from the 82nd Airborne Division in Ft. Bragg for letting us be a part of such an historic event.

Partnership Enhancement Initiative will not only help grow your business but will also allow us to better direct more orders directly to your company.

Dear Tactical Assault Gear Dealer,

In the past year, we’ve had many requests and ideas from our dealers regarding stronger dealer support improvements.  Tactical Assault Gear (TAG) listens and takes very seriously all recommendations from our dealers, so with this in mind, we’re implementing a Partnership Enhancement Initiative that will not only help grow your business but will also allow us to better direct more orders directly to your company.  Here are some of the programs we’re now offering:

  • If you plan to set up a booth and display at a trade show, vendor fair or military expo (including the SHOT Show), TAG will send a sales associate to represent our products for you in your booth for the duration of the event. TAG will provide all the equipment, based on the potential customers you’d like to target.  We will bring our current catalogs and apply your company stickers/contact information to them for distribution during the show. The TAG sales associate will familiarize themselves with your current business practices, which will allow them to better inform the end user how best to purchase TAG products directly from your company. We will do no direct sales.
  • If you plan a special event at your location, a TAG sales associate can be called to come out to your place of business.  We will send hats, shirts, stickers, gear and catalogs in advance as free merchandise to be given away to potential customers.
  • We now have a new website.  We’ll now be featuring all stocking dealers (domestic and international) and will display your company logo, business address, phone and fax numbers, as well as a direct web link to your website. The listing of dealers will be in order, alphabetically.
  • TAG sales associates will be made available to train your staff on our product line.  You can travel to San Diego and spend time on-site in our factory and learn from beginning-to-end how we operate and see firsthand how our gear is made. We can also send a rep. out to your facility(s) if travel isn’t practical.
  • Requests must arrive 60 days prior to the event and all requests will be managed on a first-come, first-serve basis. These services are free of charge and will have no bearing on your annual sales figures of TAG products.

We look forward to better serving you.
